Rockets' red glare barbecue sauce

Yield: 4 Cups

Measure Ingredient
2 12-oz. bottles chili sauce
2 Garlic cloves; minced
⅓ cup Ketchup
⅓ cup Cider vinegar
⅓ cup Brown sugar
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons Sherry
2 tablespoons Chili powder
2 teaspoons Ground cumin
1 teaspoon Crushed red pepper

Stir together all ingredients in medium saucepan; bring to a boil and lower heat to just a simmer. Simmer for 20 minutes; stirring occasionally, until mixture is thickened and flavors are nicely blended.

Remove to medium bowl or quart-sized jar, cool slightly, cover and refrigerate until serving. Makes 4 cups.
