1 | pounds | Red onion; julienned |
1 | teaspoon | Unsalted butter |
¼ | cup | Honey |
¼ | cup | Brown sugar |
¾ | ounce | Red wine vinegar |
¾ | ounce | Red wine |
TT kosher salt | ||
TT pepper |
Directions
1. Heat butter over high heat, add onions and sweat them.
2. In a seperate pan, Combine sugar & honey. Cook until lightly caramelized.
3. Add vinegar and wine, reduce.
4. Add onions and cook until thick.
5. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Serving Ideas : Serve with Steak instead of Steak Sauce.
