Red onion and walnut salad

Ingredients

Separated into rings | ||
3 | tablespoons | Salad oil |
1 | tablespoon | White wine vinegar |
⅛ | teaspoon | Dry mustard |
Salt and freshly ground pepper; to taste | ||
1 | pinch | Dried basil |
½ | cup | Mandarin oranges; drained |
½ | cup | Walnuts; chopped |
Directions
In salad bowl, combine lettuce and red onion rings. Toss and set aside. In measuring cup, combine oil, vinegar, mustard, salt and pepper and basil for dressing. Drizzle dressing over salad. Add oranges and walnuts. Toss again.
Chill until ready to serve.
