Old-fashioned sweet potato pone or puddn

Ingredients

3mediumsSized yams; grated
¼cupCane syrup
¾cupSugar
½teaspoonAllspice
½teaspoonCinnamon
½teaspoonNutmeg
2Eggs; beaten slightly
¾Stick butter; melted
¼cupLight cream

Directions

Grate raw yams. Mix sugar, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, syrup, butter and light cream. Add eggs; cream well. Fold in grated yams. Pour into a greased bread pan and bake in 375 degree oven about 45 minute.
