Old-fashioned sweet potato pone or puddn

Ingredients

| 3 | mediums | Sized yams; grated |
| ¼ | cup | Cane syrup |
| ¾ | cup | Sugar |
| ½ | teaspoon | Allspice |
| ½ | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
| ½ | teaspoon | Nutmeg |
| 2 | Eggs; beaten slightly | |
| ¾ | Stick butter; melted | |
| ¼ | cup | Light cream |
Directions
Grate raw yams. Mix sugar, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, syrup, butter and light cream. Add eggs; cream well. Fold in grated yams. Pour into a greased bread pan and bake in 375 degree oven about 45 minute.
