Measure Ingredient
1 cup Water
½ cup Sugar -- granulated
¼ cup Vinegar -- rice
½ teaspoon Pepper, chili, dried --
\N \N Crushd
1 teaspoon Salt
2 tablespoons Ketchup
2 tablespoons Cornstarch -- mix w/4T
\N \N Water

Boil water, then lower heat. Add sugar, vinegar, crushed chili, salt, ketchup. Gradually add cornstarch paste, stirring until loosely thickened.
