Molasses popcorn with peanuts

Ingredients

| ½ | cup | Sugar |
| ⅔ | cup | Dark Molasses |
| ⅓ | cup | Water |
| 1 | tablespoon | Vinegar |
| ¼ | cup | Salt |
| 1 | tablespoon | Margarine |
| ⅛ | teaspoon | Baking Soda |
| 5 | cups | Popped; Corn |
| 1½ | cup | Peanuts; Shelled |
Directions
1. Mix sugar,molasses, water, vinegar, and salt; cook until syrup becomes brittle when a little is tried in cold water (270 degrees on a candy thermometer).
2. Add margarine and baking soda.
3. Stir well and pour gradually over popped corn and peanuts, tossing until cool.
Yield 2 quarts
