Lisa's hamburger soup

Yield: 8 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Ground chuck
1 \N Med. onion; chopped
2 tablespoons Butter
6 \N Peppercorns
½ teaspoon Thyme
1 tablespoon Salt
1 \N Bay leaf
1 \N Lg. can chopped tomatoes
4 \N Celery tops; chopped
6 \N Sprigs parsley
4 \N Carrots; sliced
2 cans Beef consomme
3 \N Lg. cans of water

Melt the butter. Add the onions and cook till translucent then add ground chuck and continue to cook till browned. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 45 minutes.
