Holiday salad

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 pint Cranberries
½ cup Water
½ cup Sugar
1 pack (3-oz) lemon gelatin
1 cup Hot water
1 cup 7-up or sprite
¼ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Chopped celery
1 cup Chopped apples
1 cup Chopped nuts

Boil cranberries in ½ cup cold water, then sieve. Add sugar & heat to dissolve sugar; then cool. Dissolve gelatin in hot water; cool slightly then add 7-Up or Sprite; chill. When partially thickened, add cranberry mixture, salt, apples, celery & nuts. Chill until firm. Serve on lettuce leaves with mayonnaise.
