½ cup | Minced shallots |
½ cup | Canola oil |
¼ cup | Minced garlic |
1 cup | Hoisin |
½ cup | Fresh lime juice |
½ cup | Chopped candied ginger |
1 teaspoon | Freshly-ground white pepper |
½ teaspoon | Salt |
Saute shallots and garlic in 1 tablespoon of canola oil. Add hoisin and saute. Add juice, ginger and white pepper. In a blender, puree all. With blender running, slowly add remaining oil until smooth. Check for seasoning.
