|½ cup||Minced shallots|
|½ cup||Canola oil|
|¼ cup||Minced garlic|
|½ cup||Fresh lime juice|
|½ cup||Chopped candied ginger|
|1 teaspoon||Freshly-ground white pepper|
Saute shallots and garlic in 1 tablespoon of canola oil. Add hoisin and saute. Add juice, ginger and white pepper. In a blender, puree all. With blender running, slowly add remaining oil until smooth. Check for seasoning.
