French cherry dessert

Yield: 3 servings

Measure Ingredient
3 Egg whites
1 cup Sugar
20 Soda crackers
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Vinegar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
½ cup Finely chopped pecans
8 ounces Cream cheese, room temp.
½ cup Sifted powdered sugar
1½ teaspoon Vanilla
2 ounces Dream Whip
1 can Cherry pie filling

Beat egg whites until foamy; gradually add sugar and beat stiff. Crush crackers and combine with baking powder. Fold into egg white mixture; then fold in vinegar and 1 tsp. vanilla and pecans. Spoon into greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan and bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool. Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar. Prepare Dream Whip and fold into cheese mixture. Spread over cooled egg white mixture. Spoon cherry pie filling over cheese mixture. Chill overnight. I use another half can of cherry pie filling in this recipe.
