Cranberry glazed yams

8mediumsYams, cooked and halved, or 1 (16 oz) can whole packed yams, drained
1cupWhole-berry cranberry sauce
½cupWater
¼cupFirmly packed brown sugar
½teaspoonGrated orange peel
1tablespoonButter or margarine

Directions

Arrange yams in a shallow, buttered baking dish. Combine cranberry sauce, water, brown sugar, and orange peel in a saucepan; mix well, and bring to a boil. Cook gently 5 minutes. Add butter and pour mixture over potatoes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, basting frequently. Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
