Cranberry glazed sweet potatoes

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Water
4 mediums Sweet Potatoes
¾ cup Maple Syrup
¼ cup Water
¼ teaspoon Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Lemon Juice
2 tablespoons Butter
1 cup Cranberries, fresh or frozen

Boil water in large saucepan with tight fitting lid. Add sweet potatoes; steam until potatoes have softened slightly, about 15-20 minutes. Cool slightly. Peel; cut into ½-inch slices. Place in greased 2-quart casserole dish. Combine remaining ingredients in medium saucepan; bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Pour sauce over sweet potatoes. Bake in preheated 350 degrees F. oven until potatoes are fork tender, about 45 minutes.

Baste occasionally with sauce.
