| 4 | cups | Yellow commeal | 
| 1¾ | cup | Nonfat dry milk | 
| ⅓ | cup | Baking powder | 
| 2 | teaspoons | Salt | 
| 1¾ | cup | Shortening | 
| *lf using self-rising flour, reduce baking powder | ||
Directions
Mix flour, cornmeal, dry milk, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening completely. Refrigerate in airtight container up to I month.   12 cups mix. 
to 2 tablespoons plus 1½ teaspoons and omit salt.
