Ingredients

| ⅔ | cup | Sugar |
| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
| 1 | cup | Pecans, chopped |
| ¾ | cup | Chocolate bits |

Beat first 3 ingredients until stiff. Gradually add sugar, beating.
When shiny peaks form, add vanilla. Fold in pecans and chocolate bits.
Drop bite-sized mounds onto cookie sheets.
Place trays in oven; turn off heat and leave until morning. DO NOT PEEK! These bake on retained heat.
Makes 60 or so cookies. Store in tightly covered container.
