Christmas fruit squares

Ingredients
| Quantity | Ingredient | |

| 2 | cups | Chopped pecans | 
| ½ | cup | Butter or margarine | 
| 1½ | cup | Brown sugar | 
| 2 | Unbeaten eggs | |
| 1 | cup | Flour | 
| 1 | cup | Chopped candied cherries; 1/2 red; 1/2 green | 
| 1 | cup | Chopped candied pineapple; 1 slice red; 1 slice green, 1 slice white | 
Directions
Spread nuts on greased cookie sheet. Cream butter & sugar. Add eggs & flour. Spread batter over nuts. (You will have to use a knife to spread batter.) Sprinkle candied fruits over batter. Bake at 300 for 45 minutes. 
Cut into squares while warm.
