Cherokee casserole

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Ground beef
1 tablespoon Cooking oil
¾ cup Chopped onion
1½ teaspoon Salt
1 dash Pepper
⅛ teaspoon Oregano
⅛ teaspoon Garlic powder
⅛ teaspoon Thyme
1 can (16-oz) tomatoes
1 can Cream of mushroom soup
1 can Sliced mushrooms
1 cup Cooked rice (up to)
3 slices Cheese

Brown meat in oil. Add onions & cook until tender. Stir in all other ingredients except cheese. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat & simmer 5 minutes.

Spoon into baking dish & lattice cheese on top. Broil until cheese melts.
