Yield: 1 cake
|½ cup||Unsweetened cocoa; divided|
|2 teaspoons||Baking powder|
|2 tablespoons||Margerine; melted|
|1 teaspoon||Vanilla extract|
|½ cup||Semisw. choc chips|
|½ cup||Brown sugar; firm. packed|
|1¾ cup||Boiling water|
|Peppermint, coffee, or vanilla flavored ice cream|
As the cake bakes, a gooey pudding forms on bottom like magic.
Preheat oven 350.
Combine flour, sugar, 1/4c cocoa, baking powder and salt in bowl.
Stir in milk, butter and vanilla until smooth; stir in chocolate chips. Spread in ungreased shallow 1 1/2qt casserole.
Sprinkle brown sugar and 1/4c cocoa on top. Place in oven; pour boiling water over top. Bake 35 mins. Cool 10 mins after serving.
Serve with ice cream
