Biscuitburger casserole

½ | cup | Chopped onion |
¼ | cup | Diced green pepper |
1 | can | Tomato sauce; (8 oz.) |
½ | teaspoon | Garlic salt |
2 | teaspoons | Chili powder |
½ | cup | Shredded pizza cheese* |
½ | cup | Dairy sour cream* |
1 | Egg; slightly beaten | |
1 | can | Biscuits; (8 oz.) |
4 | slices | American cheese |
Directions

Brown ground beef, onion and green pepper. Drain. Stir in tomato sauce, garlic salt and chili powder and simmer. Combine pizza cheese, sour cream and egg and mix well. Remove meat from heat and stir in sour cream mixture.
Separate biscuits into halves. Put 10 halves into bottom of a 9 x 9" pan.
Spoon meat sauce over biscuits. Arrange other biscuits on top of meat and cover with slices of American cheese. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes until golden brown.
