Basic waffles

Measure Ingredient
2 Eggs
½ cup Milk; sweet
½ teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 cup Flour
1 tablespoon Butter; melted - or substit ute

Beat yolks of eggs, add milk, salt, flour and baking powder mixed together and shortening. Add stiffly beaten whites of eggs and bake on waffle iron unto crisp and brown.
