Basic snack cake from mix

Yield: 8 servings

Measure Ingredient
2 cups Snack-cake mix
1 Egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon Vanilla
½ cup Milk
3½ tablespoon Shortening

In an 8-inch layer-cake or square pan, stir all ingredients with rubber spatula until well blended. Scrape down sides of pan. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven 30 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on rack.
