Barbecue marinade

Yield: 1 cup (aprx)

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Onion; chopped
1½ tablespoon Sugar, brown; packed
1 tablespoon Oil, vegetable
⅓ cup Vinegar, cider
⅓ cup Catsup
1 tablespoon Horseradish, prepared
1 tablespoon Water
¼ teaspoon Black pepper, coarse grind

Cook onion and brown sugar in oil in small saucepan over medium heat until onion is tender, about 3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and continue cooking over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; cool thoroughly before adding to beef. Makes about ¾ cup.
