James beard's basic barbecue marinade

2 Cups

Ingredients

½cupSoy sauce
½cupDry sherry
½cupStrong brewed tea
2tablespoonsHoney
2tablespoonsPeanut oil
1teaspoonFresh ground black pepper
½teaspoonGround Anise seeds
1Clove garlic, minced

Directions

Combine the ingredients in a food processor. The marinade can be refrigerated for several days.
