James beard's basic barbecue marinade
2 Cups
Ingredients

| ½ | cup | Soy sauce |
| ½ | cup | Dry sherry |
| ½ | cup | Strong brewed tea |
| 2 | tablespoons | Honey |
| 2 | tablespoons | Peanut oil |
| 1 | teaspoon | Fresh ground black pepper |
| ½ | teaspoon | Ground Anise seeds |
| 1 | Clove garlic, minced | |
Directions
Combine the ingredients in a food processor. The marinade can be refrigerated for several days.
