Avocado wild west salad

Ingredients

1Head lettuce
1cupGrated Cheddar cheese
½cupFrench or Thousand Island dressing
Hot sauce to taste
1Bag corn or tortilla chips; (6 ounce)
1largeAvocado
1poundsGround beef
1canKidney beans; (15 ounce) drained
¼teaspoonSalt

Directions

Chop the onion, the tomatoes and the head of lettuce. Toss with the cup of grated cheese and the dressing, and add the hot sauce to taste. Crunch and add the chips. Slice and add the avocado. Crumble ground beef in a 2 quart casserole. Microwave at high (100%) 6 to 7 minutes, stirring once to break up the beef. Add drained kidney beans and salt. Microwave at medium high (70%) 4 minutes, stirring once during cooking time. Mix into the cold salad. Makes 6 servings.
