Apple-peanut cake

Measure Ingredient
¼ cup Margarine or butter
½ cup Peanut butter
1 cup Sugar
1 \N Egg -or-
¼ cup Eggbeaters
1¼ cup All-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon Ground cloves
1 cup Canned applesauce

Cream together margarine, peanut butter, and sugar. add egg, beat well.

combine dry ingredients together. Add alternately with applesauce to creamed mixture. Pour into greased waxpaper-lined 8 x 8 x 2 inch cakepan.

Bake at 350 degs for 40 minutes or until done. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan to rack. Cut into squares. 9 squares.
