Yogurt quiche

Ingredients

9-inch unbaked pastry shell
½tablespoonButter or margarine
¼cupFinely chopped onion
4Eggs, slightly beaten
8ouncesPlain yogurt
1cupHalf and half
1teaspoonSalt
dashPepper
dashCayenne
½poundsBacon, cooked and crumbled
OR
1cupCooked chopped ham OR
cupCooked diced shrimp
¼poundsGruyere or Swiss cheese,
Shredded

Directions

1) Saute onion in butter. Cool. 2) Combine eggs, yogurt, half and half, salt, pepper, cayenne, and onion. 3) Sprinkle bacon, (or one of the other fillings), and cheese in pastry shell. Add egg mixture. Bake at 250 degrees for 35-40 minutes until top puffs, browns lightly, and custard is set.
