Wilderness hash

Yield: 20 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Bacon
2 mediums Onions; diced
3 pounds Ground beef
3 cans (no. 2-1/2) tomatoes
4 cans (no. 2) pinto beans
1 can Tomato sauce
\N \N Salt; pepper, tabasco sauce and chili powder to taste

Dice bacon and fry until brown. Remove bacon; add onions to bacon fat and stir until wilted. Remove onions. Saut‚ meat in bacon fat until it loses its pink color. Then put all ingredients together; season to taste. Add other ingredients; simmer for 30 to 45 minutes. Serve in bowls. Yields 20 servings and freezes well.
