Southern hash

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
4 Or
5 Raw potatoes
2 mediums Onions
4 tablespoons Shortening
½ cup Tomatoes
1 cup Meat stock or gravy
2 cups Cooked; chopped meat

Put potatoes and onions through a food chopper. Melt shortening, add potatoes, onions, and tomatoes, cover pan, and cook until potatoes are done. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Add chopped meat and season with salt and pepper. Heat thoroughly and serve hot. Yield: 6 servings.
