| 225 | grams | Wholemeal; (wheat) flour |
| 60 | grams | Flour |
| 1 | teaspoon | Soda bicarb; (5 g) |
| 225 | millilitres | Milk |
| 140 | millilitres | Buttermilk |
| 60 | grams | Butter; melted |
Directions
SIFT together all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Make a well in the centre and add the milk, and mix till the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add in the buttermilk and beat well to obtain a smooth mixture. Stir in the melted butter and mix well.
Divide the mixture into 12 portions and pour into well greased muffin trays. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 220o C/425o F for 20 minutes or until brown in colour.
