6 tablespoons | Fat |
4 slices | White bread |
1½ pounds | Ground veal |
1½ teaspoon | Salt |
¼ teaspoon | Pepper |
3 \N | Eggs -- beaten |
¾ cup | Matzo or cracker meal |
Brown the onions in half the fat. Wet the bread and mash until smooth. Mix the browned onions, bread, veal, salt, pepper and 2 eggs.
