1 teaspoon | White sugar |

\N pinch | Thyme |
Saute the fatback, onions, and swamp cabbage until slightly browned.
Add the remaining ingredients and simmer until it starts to thicken and tomatoes start to cook down. About 10 minutes before serving, add another pinch of thyme and serve over hot cooked rice. If you don't live along the Carolina, Georgia, North Florida coast, Hearts of Palm in a can will work just as well, but don't overcook them.
