Tomato sauce
¼cupUncooked rice
cupHot catsup
½cupWater

Sour salt
2Ginger snaps
1tablespoonStrawberry jam

Directions

Boil cabbage leaves (approximately 12) until soft, drain. Mix ground beef with ½ teaspoon salt, dash of garlic salt, if desired, ¼ cup uncooked rice and ¼ cup hot catsup. Divide evenly and roll in cooked cabbage leaves. Mix 1 small can tomato sauce, 1 cup hot catsup, ½ cup water and 1 small sliced onion. Place in frying pan and cook over medium low heat until starts to bubble. Place cabbage rolls in pan. Simmer slowly about ½ hour. Add 1 tablespoon sugar and a little sour salt. Simmer 1 hour. Add 1 or 2 crumbled ginger snaps. Stir evenly. Taste sauce for either more sour salt or add 1 tablespoon strawberry jam. Enjoy! Submitted By BARRY WEINSTEIN On 05-05-95
