| 1 | teaspoon | Salt |
| 1 | teaspoon | Worcestershire sauce |
| ½ | teaspoon | Basil leaves |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Pepper |
| ⅛ | teaspoon | Garlic salt |
| 6 | tablespoons | Creamed cottage cheese |
| ¼ | cup | Parmesan cheese |
| 8 | ounces | Tomato sauce |
| 6 | slices | Mozzarella cheese; or Swiss 3x3 inches |
Directions
Mix meat, bread crumbs, onion, egg, and seasonings. Shape into 12 thin patties, about 4 inches in diameter.
Top each of 6 patties with 1 tablespoon cottage cheese, spreading within ½ inch of edge; sprinkle with 2 teaspoons Parmesan cheese.
Cover each with a remaining patty, sealing edges firmly.
Brown patties in large skillet over medium-high heat, turning once.
Drain off fat. Pour tomato sauce over patties; cover and simmer 15 minutes. Place a cheese slice on each patty; cover and heat until cheese in melted, about 2 minutes. Serve sauce over patties Submitted By LAWRENCE KELLIE On 10-17-94
