Tomato relish ii

Measure Ingredient
4 cups Crushed and peeled tomatoes
6½ cup Sugar
1 Bottle fruit pectin
¼ cup Lemon juice
Grated rind 1 lemon

Boil tomatoes 10 minutes in an uncovered kettle. Stir occasionally.

Add lemon juice and grated lemon rind. Heat rapidly to full rolling boil. Stir constantly before and while boiling. Boil hard 2 minutes.

Remove from fire. Stir in fruit pectin. Skim. This recipe requires about 2½ pounds tomatoes. The Household Searchlight
