Green tomato relish

Ingredients

3quartsGreen Tomatoes (about 14 large)
1quartCooking Onions (about 5 or 6)
3Sweet Red peppers
Boiling Water
1quartVinegar
3poundsSugar (about 6 3/4 cups, a little less is better)
¼cupSalt
3tablespoonsMustard Seed
3tablespoonsCelery Seed
2teaspoonsTumeric

Directions

Grind and measure tomatoes, onions, and peppers (removing seeds). Pour boiling water over the mixture and let stand 5 minutes. Drain well and add vinegar, sugar, salt, mustard seed, celery seed, and tumeric.

Cook 30 minutes or until thickened, let simmer (might take more than 30 minutes to thicken). While hot, pour into sterilized jars and process.
