Tomato and pepper relish

Ingredients

10 | mediums | Green tomatoes |
6 | cups | Green or green & red peppers |
4 | cups | Vinegar |
6 | cups | Sugar |
2 | cups | Water |
1½ | teaspoon | Turmeric |
½ | tablespoon | Celery seed |
½ | tablespoon | Mustard seed |
½ | cup | Salt |
Directions
Chop onions, tomatoes and peppers. Add salt. Let stand overnight. Drain.
Put other ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. Add drained vegetables to liquid and bring to a boil. Cook 10 minutes, then simmer 10 minutes. Put in airtight jars. No processing necessary.
