Strawberry cream sandwiches

Ingredients

| 4 | ounces | Whipped cream cheese |
| 2 | tablespoons | Strawberry jelly |
| 4 | slices | Bread |
| 8 | Fresh strawberries, sliced | |
| 1 | Egg | |
| 2 | tablespoons | Milk |
| 1 | tablespoon | Margarine or oil |
| 2 | tablespoons | Confectioner's sugar |
Directions
Mix the cream cheese with the strawberry jelly. Spread the mixture on 4 slices of bread, and lay half of the sliced strawberries on 2 of the slices. Place the other 2 slices on top to form 2 sandwiches. In a small bowl, beat the egg with the milk. Heat the margarine or oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture to cover, and fry until golden brown on both sides.
