Sophie's favorite cabbage

Ingredients

1Head cabbage -- sliced
4slicesBacon -- chopped
¼cupHoney
½cupCider vinegar
1Chicken bouillon cube
1cupWater
¼teaspoonGround cloves
¼teaspoonCaraway seed

Directions

Saute the bacon until cooked. Add the remaining ingredients and cook, covered, until cabbage begins to turn soft. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, covered, for about an hour and 15 minutes.
