5 cups | Water |
1 pounds | Salt pork; rinsed well |
1 medium | Onion; chopped |
1 \N | Bottle (12-oz) Cola beverage |
1 teaspoon | Crushed hot red pepper |
¼ teaspoon | Thyme |
¼ teaspoon | Oregano |
Cook beans overnight in slow cooker on low setting with water, salt pork & onion. Add remaining ingredients & cook on low setting for 10 hours or on high setting for 8 hours (or until very tender).
