Slow cooker pinto beans

Ingredients

1poundsDried pinto beans
5cupsWater
1poundsSalt pork; rinsed well
1mediumOnion; chopped
1Bottle (12-oz) Cola beverage
1teaspoonCrushed hot red pepper
¼teaspoonThyme
¼teaspoonOregano

Directions

Cook beans overnight in slow cooker on low setting with water, salt pork & onion. Add remaining ingredients & cook on low setting for 10 hours or on high setting for 8 hours (or until very tender).
