Spicy pinto beans

3Onions; chopped
2Cloves garlic; chopped
3cupsPinto beans; rinsed
2cans(4.5-oz) green chilies; chopped
2tablespoonsJalapeno peppers; chopped (more if you like it very hot) or-
2Regular beef bouillon cubes
2tablespoonsOlive oil or shortening

My son gave me this recipe a few years ago. I don't know where he got it from, but both his family and mine enjoy this dish frequently.

In a dutch oven or 4Qt pot fry the round steak in oil until brown. Add onions and garlic and continue frying until onions are transparent. Add the remaining ingredients, cover with water and bring to a boil. Simmer until the beans are tender. Excellent reheated too.
