Shoyu coffee chicken

Yield: 6 servings

Measure Ingredient
5 pounds Chicken; cut into pieces
⅔ cup Shoyu;(soy sauce)
⅓ cup Brewed coffee;
1 cup Sugar; =OR=-
\N \N 1 cup
1 cup Water;
½ \N Inch fresh ginger root;
\N \N =peeled minced
2 cloves Garlic

Combine all ingredients in an eight-quart pot. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer over medium heat for 30 to 40 minutes. Do not stir. Keep covered and shake the pot once or twice during cooking.
