Sherried cubed steaks

Yield: 2 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 teaspoon Green or black peppercorns, crushed
2 Lean cubed steaks, (4-ounce)
Vegetable cooking spray
⅓ cup Medium-dry sherry
⅓ cup Beef consomme, undiluted
½ teaspoon Sugar

Press peppercorns onto both sides of steaks. Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium heat until hot. Add steaks, and cook 5 minutes on each side or until browned. Add the sherry, consomme, and sugar; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until tender. Yield: 2 servings.
