2 | Lean cubed steaks, (4-ounce) |
Vegetable cooking spray | |
⅓ cup | Medium-dry sherry |
⅓ cup | Beef consomme, undiluted |
½ teaspoon | Sugar |
Press peppercorns onto both sides of steaks. Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium heat until hot. Add steaks, and cook 5 minutes on each side or until browned. Add the sherry, consomme, and sugar; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until tender. Yield: 2 servings.
