Sharon's rum balls

Measure Ingredient
3 cups Finely crushed vanilla wafers
1 cup Finely chopped walnuts
1⅓ cup (15 oz can) sweetened condensed milk
⅓ cup Bourbon or rum
\N \N Confectioner's sugar

Combine the wafer crumbs and nuts. Add sweetened condensed milk and bourbon or rum; blend well. Chill about 1 hour. Dip palms of hands into confectioner's sugar. Shape by teaspoonfuls into small balls. Roll in confectioner's sugar or candy sprinkles (try chocolate). Store in covered container in refrigerator. Candies can be kept moist and fresh for several weeks.
