Savory salmon steaks

Ingredients

QuantityIngredient
1poundsSalmon steaks; 1 inch thick
½cupDry white wine
2tablespoonsGreen onion slices
½poundsVelveeta pasteurized process cheese spread; cubed
3tablespoonsDry white wine
¼teaspoonDried tarragon leaves; crushed
¼teaspoonDill weed

Directions

Place fish in 9-inch square baking dish. Combine wine and onions; pour over fish. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees 30 to 35 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork. Combine remaining ingredients; stir over low heat until Velveeta cheese spread is melted. Serve with fish. 2 servings.

Variation: Substitute apple juice for wine.
