Sarah smith's fig-strawberry preserves

Measure Ingredient
3 cups Figs, mashed
3 cups Sugar
2 packs Strawberry Jello (3 oz pkg)

Thoroughly mix figs, Jello and sugar in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat and continue boiling for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour quickly into glasses and seal or cover with ⅛ inch of paraffin.
