Strawberry-fig preserves

Ingredients

6cupsPeeled figs; crushed
1cupWater
6cupsSugar
4packs(small) strawberry jello

Directions

Put crushed figs and water in a pot; cook for 30 minutes. Add sugar; mix well. Stir in Jello. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes more (until thick). Pour into sterilized jars and seal while hot.
