2 cans | (29-oz) white hominy |
2 cans | (4-oz) minced green chiles |
\N \N | Salt & pepper to taste |
\N \N | Butter |
\N \N | Sour cream |
½ cup | Half-and-half |
1 cup | Shredded Monterey Jack cheese |
Drain and rinse hominy. Generously butter a 2-½ to 3 quart casserole.
Layer ingredients in following order: Hominy, green chilies, salt and pepper to taste then dot with sour cream and butter. Repeat the layers.
ending with a layer of hominy. Dot the top with butter and pour cream over all. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve piping hot.
