Raisin crunchies

Yield: 2 1/2 dozen

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Butter (or marg.); softened
½ cup Sugar
1 \N Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 cup Flour, all-purpose
1 teaspoon Baking powder
¼ teaspoon Salt
½ cup Nuts; chopped
1 cup Raisin bran cereal

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add dry ingredients, nuts, and cereal to creamed mixture, mixing well.

Shape dough into balls about 1" in diameter; place on lightly greased cookie sheets. Flatten with fork. Bake at 400 degrees about 10 minutes.
