Raisin bran bread

Measure Ingredient
1 Egg, well beaten
1 cup Bran
2 cups White flour
½ cup Sugar
1 cup Sour milk
2 tablespoons Melted shortening
½ cup Raisins
¼ cup Molasses
¼ teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Salt
3 teaspoons Baking powder

Combine molasses, shortening, sugar, bran, raisins, egg, and milk.

Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Combine with the first mixture. Beat well. Pour into well-oiled loaf pan. Bake in moderate oven (375ø F) 1 hour. 1 loaf.
