Raisin loaf

Yield: 6 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Raisins
1 teaspoon Soda
1 cup Hot water
1 cup Sugar
½ cup Shortening
2 Eggs beaten
½ teaspoon Salt
1¾ cup Flour

Put the raisins and soda in a bowl and pour the hot water over and let sit till cool. Cream the sugar and shortening and add the beaten eggs. Add the raisin mixture and then the flour & salt. Bake in loaf pan 1 hour in 350 oven.
