Pecan supremes

¾cupDark brown sugar, packed
¾cupWhite sugar
1cupSalted butter, softened
2largesEggs
2teaspoonsPure vanilla extract
1cup(4 oz) chopped pecans
1cup(6 oz) semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 300 In medium bowl combine flour, soda, salt and oats. Mix well with wire whisk and set aside. In large bowl blend sugars with an electric mixer at medium speed. Add butter and mix to form a grainy paste. Scrape down sides of bowl, then add eggs and vanilla. Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add the flour mixture, pecans, and chocolate chips, and blend at low speed just until combined. Do not overmix. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets, 1½ inches apart. Bake for 20-22 minutes. Immediately transfer cookies with a spatula to a cool flat surface.
